BLACK BEAR HUNTS

We offer black bear hunting on a limited basis, only 12 hunts per year. There is an excellent population of huge black and coloured bears, as this area has had limited hunting. We take archery, rifle and muzzleloader hunters. Our spring hunting trips also include fishing. Fishing is non-guided which works well as we have small lakes.

HUNTING REGULATIONS!

Saskatchewan Wildlife Regulations allow that youths 12-15 years of age may purchase a game license, after graduating from a Firearm Safety/Hunter Education course, by having their parent or guardian complete the consent portion of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Habitat Certificate. While hunting, the youth must be under direct supervision of an adult 18 years or older.

It is a violation to:

  • hunt big game or accompany a hunter without wearing a full jacket of red, bright yellow, blaze orange or white. You must also wear head gear in any of these colours, except for white. NOTE: hunters using bows or muzzleloaders during specified seasons so not have to observe the dress codes. However, if they're hunting during rifle season with no overlap during archery or muzzleloader seasons, the dress code applies.
  • hunt wildlife on half hour after sunset to one half hour before sunrise.
  • use or carry another person's license, seal or certificate while hunting or fishing.
